Drama Club

Hello!  Ms. Jennifer Lee will be the teacher sponsor for Drama Club this year.  Ms. Lee started doing theatre at the age of 4.  She got a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Montevallo.  She worked for 9 years as a historical interpreter at the American Village, and she taught drama at Austin High School.

Drama Club is open to Middle School and High School students interested in creating and performing theatre.  Students will have the opportunity to compete at several competitions during the school year, including Trumbauer and Theatre For Youth.  Hopefully, we will be able to produce a smaller straight (non-musical) play this spring.  Eventually, we will be able to perform musicals as well.  Theatre is something that all students can benefit from.  It helps build confidence, team work, public speaking skills, creativity, and technical skills .  If you are interested, come by Ms. Lee's room and keep an ear open for announcements.
