Biography

I am very excited to serve Samson Middle/High School students as the counselor. I started my journey in education as a Special Ed Aide, then became a Special Ed Teacher, gained certification in and taught English, and am now serving as the counselor for grades 6-12. I feel like my wide range of experience throughout each of those capacities has helped develop me into a better educator. I enjoy helping students become the best version of themselves and building relationships with them, which I consider one of the most important aspects of my job. I am very fortunate to work with kids every day and watch them grow as individuals. My goal is to help them create a solid plan for their future that will allow them to live the life they desire while also helping them navigate the present.

I am married to Gid Zorn, who I am also lucky enough to work with every day. We have two daughters, Madison and Ally, and a son-in-law, Grant. Madison is currently a Pharmacy student at Auburn University and will graduate in May with her PharmD. Ally is a sophomore here at Samson and keeps us very busy with her active schedule. Grant is currently the Ag Teacher at Enterprise High School and an assistant football coach for Coppinville Jr. High. When not at school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family, who is always up for an adventure.
